Terms of Service

The rules for using this site, the feedback form, job applications, and the member portal

Effective October 10, 2026

These terms govern your use of www.svep.med, the website of Simi Valley Emergency Physicians ("SVEP", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The site does not provide medical advice

Content on this site is general information about SVEP and the emergency department we staff. It is not medical advice, and using the site does not create a physician-patient relationship. Medical care is provided in person at Adventist Health Simi Valley.

If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use any form on this site to report an urgent medical problem. Forms are not monitored around the clock.

2. Patient and family feedback

The feedback form lets patients and families share a compliment, concern, or comment with SVEP physicians. It is not a complaint process of the hospital, and it does not replace your right to raise concerns with Adventist Health Simi Valley, your insurer, or the Medical Board of California.

Do not include medical information or patient identifiers in feedback. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.

3. Job applications

When you apply for a position, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to share the documents you upload. Submitting an application does not create an offer of employment or partnership. SVEP is an equal opportunity group.

4. Member portal

The member portal is for SVEP physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff who have been granted access. Access requires an SVEP Google Workspace account and may be paused or revoked by SVEP at any time.

  • Keep your account secure and do not share your sign-in with anyone.
  • Use the portal for SVEP business, and follow SVEP policies and applicable law, including HIPAA, in everything you post or upload.
  • Do not store patient information in the portal unless a specific workflow has been approved by SVEP for that purpose.
  • Content you post may be seen by other authorized members according to its audience, and may be retained as part of SVEP's business records.
  • The knowledge-base assistant is a convenience tool that can make mistakes. Verify important information against the source document or a colleague before relying on it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site in a way that breaks the law or violates the rights of others.
  • Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use, or to interfere with the site's operation.
  • Copy or scrape the site, or use automated tools against it, except as permitted by search engines indexing public pages.

6. Intellectual property

The site, its text, images, and the SVEP name and logo belong to SVEP or its licensors. You may view and print pages for personal reference. Any other use requires our written permission.

7. Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites, including those of Adventist Health. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and online but make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SVEP and its physicians, partners, and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them affects the care you receive as a patient.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to admin@svep.med or through the contact page.
